Spring Blooms for the Lunar New Year
Chinese New Year is approaching (in 2 weeks to be exact). While it is often a time for you to get together and celebrate the new year with your family and friends, it is also a time where we find ourselves racking our brains and scouring the stores in search for that perfect Chinese New Year outfit(s).
In this post, we introduce to you three new prints which we specially designed for the Spring 2020 season – the Bloom print, the Spring print and the Lunar print.
Each of the Spring 2020 prints come in a few silhouettes which were specially designed to be stylish and comfortable, allowing some leeway while we all indulge in the good food coming our way. So, if you are worried about having to suck in your stomach after or while eating all those pineapple tarts and steamboat dinners, we’ve got you covered!
Chinese New Year is the celebration of the start of Spring and we always think of flowers when we think of Chinese New Year and of Spring. We designed the Bloom print to be a modern and fun interpretation of traditional floral prints, and decided to use the print for unconventional silhouettes.
This print is perfect for those who don’t want to anything too loud and yet want some colour in their outfits, and comes in two colour schemes - Crimson and Ocean. The Crimson colour scheme comprises of a muted palette of rose, lilac and banana yellow which brings forth a modern interpretation of the traditional reds that you see a lot during Chinese New Year.
The Bloom print is available in two silhouettes - a relaxed-fit dip-hem top that goes perfectly with many types of bottoms, including denim skirts, shorts or jeans, and a shift dress that can be worn two ways (front to back and vice versa), either with a V-neckline or a square neckline.
May you bloom in our Bloom designs!
Celebrate new beginnings with our Spring print. Spring holds the promise of possibilities of fresh starts and new opportunities - a promise which is interpretively translated into this botanical print.
We created the Spring print because we wanted something different from our usual prints, or other prints in the market. We wanted a statement artwork that’s classy and elegant, yet not overboard, and this is what we came up with after many months of tweaking and fine-tuning!
This print comes in three colours – Cornflower (the blue), Fresh Mint (the green) and Champagne (the cream).
The Spring print is available in three silhouettes – a relaxed-fit V-neck V-back top (in the same cut as our Horizon V-Neck Top) that’s so easy to throw on and comfortable to keep on, a side-slit midi dress (in a cut similar to the Horizon Side-Slit Midi, but with a side zip instead so that the gorgeous botanical print at the back is not broken up into two panels), and an A-line dress that can be worn two ways (front to back and vice versa), either with a V-neckline or a round neckline.
We hope the Spring designs will bring you flourishing new starts and great opportunities!
The Lunar print was created with the moon and the sun, and other things that give us life, in mind, and we played with watercolour to give the print some dimension and, really, life. The print is feminine yet strong, cool yet warm, elegant yet not extravagant, classy yet humble, and it comes in two colour schemes – Rose and Iris.
The Lunar print is available in three silhouettes – a simple and classy sleeveless top that will go well with most bottoms, a side-slit midi dress (in a cut similar to the Horizon Side-Slit Midi) which will never go wrong, and a very comfortable and stylish high-neck trapeze/A-line dress!
We hope the Lunar designs will bring you luck to realise your desires, reach your goals and achieve your resolutions in the new year!
WHERE TO FIND IT?
The Bloom, Spring and Lunar collections are now available at our Funan store (#02-K09, the only unit on the mezzanine floor of level 2), and on our website allwouldenvy.com.
We hope that these prints and outfits which we specially created for you will bring you good luck, longevity, happiness and prosperity, and we hope you will have an amazing celebration this period with your family and loved ones! Here’s wishing everyone a very happy Chinese New Year!
To best assess your fit, choose a garment that you already own and that fits you well. Lay this item flat and measure across the front. Then, compare your measurement with your desired garment's "Measurements" chart. Please note that measuring your body directly may provide misleading measurements.
To determine an accurate chest measurement, lay your measuring tool flat
Our measurement chart provides the garment's natural waist dimension - this is the thinnest part of your mid-section. For a dress' waist measurement, find the thinnest part of the garment (the waistband) and measure it. For pants or a skirt, measure the top of the garment to ascertain its waist.
To obtain the length of a top or dress, measure from the top of the shoulder to the bottom of the garment. For pants and skirts, this is the measurement from the waist to the bottom hem.
Measure the widest part of a skirt or pants, below the waistband, to determine fit. When measuring a skirt, it's best to use a garment that is fitted and not free-flowing.
Measure 1” below your crotch around your thigh.
